I don’t like you. And I never will.
Now here’s Fors’s promo video on the durability oh their beds. You’ll notice two things. 1 they aren’t taking the “rub you name in the dirt.” Campaign by directly . Insulting the competition. 2 the bed has a sprayed on bed liner, now you might call that cheating, but honestly most new trucks leave the factory with a spay on liner anyway, so if that’s all it takes to makes up for aluminum’s tendency to split versus bend, the it seems like a simple solution to what Chevy wants you t think is the end of the world.

I saw this earlier on Oppo and cringed.
“So, what you are telling me is that neither truck can handle heavy stuff being dropped in it without Rhino lining...?”

Cause Ford is SOOO above this kind of thing...

That’s been the case for years. The difference is in the properties of the metals used. Aluminum is a terrible material for a surface that will be getting constantly hammered with other things, as it tends to tear and is expensive to fix.

There was a post earlier today about this.

So apparently aluminum doesn’t take sharp object hits too well. Surprise, surprise.

How much do you think it'd cost to cover an entire truck with bed liner spray? Cause I'd totally rock that.

One of the few truck company bashing truck company commercials I enjoyed, was Howie Long’s Chevy truck commercial, and it featured a guy crawling down from the F150 bed using that step/hand rail thing Ford has.
Howies comment: You left your little man step down.......

90% of trucks these days leave the factory with a plastic liner so who cares. At least the Ford bed won’t rust out after water and salt gets trapped between the liner and the bed

I’m going to laugh so hard when Chevy updates their Silverado with an all aluminum body.

I see that often. It's usually on older lifted trucks.

That would a serious foot in mouth moment.

I think spray ins are most common than the old drop in plastic, but yeah basically, the Ford really “should” last longer.

I’d guess 1500-2000 for a pro job, spray ins usually range from 4-500 depended on the shop. I have seen it done before, usually after its too late and the truck has already started to rust.
I've actually seen a silver 06 Focus ZX5 with the lower half coated in grey Bed liner, it actually looks good, at a distance it just looks like a nice two tone.
